Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress, producer and director. Her starring role in TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most well-known. Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The seventh season of the show ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator and family therapist, a venture capitalist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech Therapist. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was Episcopalian. She was also of English heritage. Sedgwick has declared that she's Jewish and has been a participant in Passover dinners.
